For residents who are not proficient in English, CHF requires these residents to take ESL (English as a Second Language) classes. CHF offers two ESL Classes, beginning and intermediate. Each class meets twice a week at CHF's Family Educational and Family Resource Center. Improving communication is essential to obtaining employment, improving job performance and maintaining job retention.
Many students continue with advance courses at Emily Griffith Opportunity
School and then continue with their education at a trade school, college
or university.
