Sharoon Din is a Pakistani refugee that came to CHF shortly after September 11th, 2001, when businesses in his home village would no longer employ Christians. With no way to support themselves, Sharoon’s parents sought refuge in the U.S. CHF housed 5-6 refugee families from Pakistan. This young man lived in our program for 2 years while his family got back on their feet and found jobs. Recently, this young man came back to say "thank you" to his case worker, Norm Strasheim, and CHF Executive Director, Connie Zimmerman, and to let us know that he was starting his schooling to become a doctor! Past support from people like you have allowed Sharoon and his family to realize their dream.
